Roof and Ceiling Insulation Inputs

The next BDAV Webinar will deal with Roof and Ceiling Insulation Inputs. The presentation, to be delivered by Henning Rasmussen, will cover the following:

- Heatflow through horizontal surfaces;
- Understanding of foil on sloping surfaces and related R-values;
- Understanding the varies types of roofs;
- Applying bulk insulation in ceilings and floors using FirstRate5;
- Applying foil insulation in ceilings and floors using FirstRate5;
- Explaining ‘tick-boxes’;
- Brief discussion on ventilation issues and insulation.

Henning is a Thermal Performance Assessor with vast experience, and assists on the BDAV's Help Desk. He also serves on the BDAV's Energy & Sustainability Hub Advisory Committee. Henning also lectures at RMIT for their Building Thermal Performance Assessment course. His webinar presentation last November on Insulation Input in Walls was highly acclaimed.

Whilst this presentation will be of interest to many Members, it is particularly relevant for our accredited thermal performance assessor Members.

Cancellation Policy
We know that situations sometimes arise preventing you from attending. However, the BDAV does incur costs in organising these events. Therefore, those who book and do not attend will be required to pay the full fee. Registrants who book then cancel more than three days prior to the event will receive a refund of their payment, less an administrative charge of $11 per registrant for paying registrants. Non-paying registrants who book and do not attend will be invoiced $11 to offset administration costs. Bookings cannot be transferred to other BDAV events.
